Instructor Training
V-Twin Motorcycle Riding School Ltd. is an ICBC approved Motorcycle Instructor training facility. Courses are scheduled on a demand basis, and preference is given to instructors who will be joining the V-Twin team. However, contract instructor training is also provided to instructors for other driver training schools.
Under the Motor Vehicle Act, Instructor Candidates must be pre-approved before commencing training. In order to be approved by ICBC for training, an instructor candidate must have held a motorcycle (Class 6) license for at least 3 years, produce a driving record with less than 10 penalty points in the previous 2 years, and no criminal driving offenses in the previous 3 years. In addition, the candidate must submit a criminal record check with no offenses for violence, dishonesty, or indecency in the previous 5 years.
